Especially in early Spring, we all begin to feel more energetic to improve our homes and our immediate surroundings. Perhaps enclosures, new windows or doors -- or maybe you just want to dig in the dirt, and plant some colorful flowers.
We do have some restrictions for doing these things, and we welcome your alterations that are proposed to the Design Committee/Executive Board so that your project is a success according to the guidelines of your community. As well, if you are proposing a project that is unclear to you in the guidelines of your community, with enough information, a proposal for a variance, or a change in our guiding documents may be considered. EVEN IF SOME ALTERATIONS DO NOT NEED DESIGN COMMITTEE APPROVAL, YOU NEED TO NOTIFY MAINTENANCE OF YOUR PROPOSED PROJECT SO THAT THEY CAN GUIDE YOU IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION. CLEANING OR STAINING YOUR DECK AREA SHOULD BE REPORTED TO MAINTENANCE SO THAT YOUR NEIGHBOR CAN BE GIVEN A HEADS UP. THIS IS JUST COMMON COURTESY.
